Wow I haven't written anything here in a very long time. First I guess I will do a recap , my little man made his appearance on June 1st 2011 at 4:37pm by c-section. All this took place after 3 days of being induced and only getting to 4cm. The reason why he wasn't coming out is he weighed 11.07 lbs . He was HUGE. I had no problems with the c-section and recovery was great. My little man is growing so fast we just had his two month check up and he was 13 lbs 8oz 75th%, 24.5" long 90th% and his head is 17" 50th %

Other than that we are just enjoying our summer and relaxing with the little man.

Wow Where has March gone?

April starts on Friday. That is absolutely crazy to me. Only two months and my little man will be here. My parents came over on Saturday and helped put together all of the furniture and stuff that we have bought so far and then had a great dinner and played cards. It was so nice to have them back, You don't realize just how much you miss people until they come back. Next weekend we are going to get the crib and hopefully a glider chair for his room and it will be all ready to go. The bedding set that my parents got for him is so cute and I can't wait to see if set up in his room. It's hard to believe that he will be here in only 7 short weeks it seems like just yesterday we found out about him and before I know it he will be here. I only have to get through 35 more days of work and then I will be off for a full year and will be able to relax and just enjoy spending time with my little man.

Happy Happy Happy

My parents got back last weekend and I am soo soooo sooooooooo happy they are home. It seems like forever that they have been gone. That is the longest amount of time that I have ever gone without seeing them.

They are coming over tomorrow to help put together some of baby's furniture and have dinner and just hang out like we used to do.

For the baby side of things I am now 30 weeks and starting the final count down to his arrival. I started making a list of things to pack in my hospital bag. I still have to finish filling in all of my pre-registration forms for the hospital so that I am not trying to fill them out in the middle of him making his grand entrance.

His diapers arrived in the mail today and they are the cutest things that I have ever seen, seriously I think they are even better than what I thought based on the pictures on the website. I can't wait until he is here so that I can take a pic of him in his Fancy Pants as I call them.

I only have 38 days left of work before I will be off for a full year. It's crazy I don't think I have had a full summer off since I was 16. Should be interesting.

So Excited !!!!

The Stroller and Car seat have been delivered now we just need to go and pick them up this weekend. We got a dresser/Change table for his room last night it is awesome. I found some picks online of what we have got so far for him

This is what the dresser/Changer looks like. It looks so good in his room I can't wait to get all his stuff in it.

This is our Stroller it's the Bob Revolution in Plum. I love it, it is so easy to move and fold and is really light.

This is the car seat we got it fit's right onto the stroller with an adaptor and locks on so it can't tip or fall off.

This is the play pen we got to set up in the

living room and to take if we go camping or out somewhere for

the day.

The Bouncy chair that we got for him, It's so cute I can't wait to pull it out of the box and set it up for him. It looks so comfy they should make them for adults...maybe minus the toys and add a cup holder.

This is his bathtub we got it for only 10$ when we bought the play pen and the Bouncy chair at Babies R Us.

Ahhh Friday at last.

So I get a call from my Dr yesterday that my glucose test came back high so I have to go for the 2 hr test. Great!. She told me that about 98% of people fail the 1 hr test and out of those people about 75-80% pass the two hour test. So why don't they just make you do the two hour test to start and skip the one hour crap. Oh well not much I can do at least it will make sure that he is healthy in there.

On another note we ordered his stroller last night, and I ordered all of his diapers the night before I can't wait to get everything together for him. We just have to clean out his room of all the painting stuff and then we can put all the stuff in there for him. We bought a foot stool that has storage in it for his room and next weekend we are going to the US and getting a glider for his room that will match the foot stool and then we are going to see if we can find a dresser/change table for him.

I think we pretty much have everything major we need for him except the crib but I'm not too worried about that.

He will be here before I know it, I'm so excited.

Hump Day.

The weather has been crazy here today we have had everything from Snow, wind, rain, hail, sun and a few rainbows for fun.

S and I went for a swim last night it was so nice. I think it would have been better if it wasn't so busy but either way it was good. My hips have been feeling a little stiff and sore the past week and it really helped to loosen everything up they feel so much better today. I think I'm going to drag him with me at least once a week, if anything it is good for him. I like to go in the mornings before work but the past few weeks I have been too tired to get up that early and actually put the effort in my sleep is much more important. I think once it warms up and is light in the morning I wont mind going as much.

I only have 57 days of work left before I get a full 12 months off. That has to be the absolute longest I have ever gone without having to work or go to school. I know I will be busy with little man but I can't help but think how boring it is going to be. I think me and little man are going to have to take up a hobby or two or I may just go crazy.

I can't remember the last time I had the whole summer off without working I guess that must have been the summer of 99. It will be nice to hang out with my parents and SIL's and all the cousins though so maybe I wont be bored until winter.

Saw my little man again

So I had my ultrasound yesterday and it was so cool to see baby boy moving and kicking me and opening his mouth. I got a really great pic of him yawning and one of his nose and lips close up it looks like he has my nose, but we will have to wait and see until the 3D ultrasound to get a better look at him.

I have my glucose test tomorrow morning I have to be there at 7am on a Saturday and then sit around for an hour that should be so much fun.

We ordered little mans car seat yesterday so it should be here in the next week and then we have to get his stroller and the cloth diapers ordered find a crib and a change table and we will be pretty much good to go other than little things but I think I will wait until after the baby shower to see what else I need to get.

Woo Hoo Thursday.

Well the last two weeks have gone by so fast. I finally get to see my little man on Ultrasound again today to check how big he is and my fluid levels to make sure that everything is going good. I hope I get more pics of him today because S is at work and wont be there for the appointment.

Then I have a Dr's appt after the ultrasound. My appointments are every two weeks now until 36 weeks. I can't believe how fast this is flying by at the beginning it seemed so far away it was like 40 weeks is going to take forever and now it's like wow only 13 weeks left.

He will be here before I know it and I am so beyond excited. :)

Ahhh Tuesday ....

Had a good long weekend. Painted baby boys room finally it looks so good we just need to put a second coat on it and then paint the baseboards as they have never been painted the people installed them but never painted them so we are going to get that done in the next few weeks and his room will be ready for furniture. I took lots of pictures before during and will take one after that I will post as soon as I get a chance to actually upload them from the computer.

The colour we picked was Roasted Nuts and its a warm chocolate colour and really looks nice in the room with all of the white trim and doors. It will look really good once we get all of his stuff in there, I think it is now my favorite room in the house, which is a good thing seeing as I will probably be spending a lot of time in there in the future.

Other than that not too much going on I have an ultrasound on Thursday just to see how big my monster has grown. I should get pics from that and will scan and post them as I haven't posted any of his pics yet. Then at the end of april we are doing the 3D ultrasound and I will post his pics from that it should be really neat to see him.

So excited for the weekend

This weekend we are finally going to paint Baby boy's room. I can't tell you how nice it will be to have it cleaned out of all the hedgehog stuff and have all of his stuff in the room and waiting for him.

It seems like its still a long time away but really it's only 14 weeks until he is due to make his grand entrance, which by the way I am hoping is speedy and painless....lol yeah I know good luck with both of those. As long as he comes healthy that is all I care about and cannot wait to see his little face....or giant one according to the Dr and how fast he is growing.

I will take pictures of the painting process and will post them next week so that you can see how ugly it is now and how good it will look when we are done.

Time Fly's...

This month is going by so fast. Had a Dr's appt last Thursday for baby boy. Dr said that he has grown LOT's in the past 4 weeks and that's why I have been having such bad pains in my sides. So she is sending me for another Ultrasound just to see how big my monster really is.

Then I have to go and do my glucose test next Saturday I hope I don't fail that one I really don't want to have to do the three hour test one hour is more than long enough.

We are going to paint baby's room this weekend. I am so excited to get it converted from Hedgehog room to baby room, it will be so nice to be able to put all of his stuff in there and have it all set up and ready to go for him.

I will see if I can get some new pics from this ultrasound and will post them he should be pretty big in these pics as it has been 6 weeks since our last scan and he has grown so so much.

Wow it's February already ? Where did the last month go?

Had such a great morning today, I finally got a new bathing suit on the weekend that will fit my ever expanding tummy so that I can go swimming again. It was so nice to be in the water and just relax.

I really think I was a fish in a past life I could easily stay in the water all day if I didn't have to work.

I can't wait until baby boy gets here and can go to the pool with me, I hope he loves the water as much as I do as I can easily see us spending a lot of time there.

Other than that not to much else going on. baby is kicking more and more everyday and growing like crazy. I have my next Dr. appt on the 10 and then I will get my paper work to go for my glucose test I hope I don't fail that one I am already dreading drinking the gross stuff that they give you. My mind keeps telling me that it is going to taste like the stuff they gave me before a cat scan. That was the grossest. stuff . EVER.

Im happy that all of the hedgehogs are leaving this weekend. As much fun as they have been the last two years I am more than ready for them to be gone. It will be so nice to get that room cleaned out and all of the cages taken apart. No more poppy wheels to clean and no more cages to scrub.

Productive Weekend

Well we had a pretty busy weekend, went to the OshKosh outlet store and got some really cute clothes for baby boy. I couldn't believe the deals they had there one outfit I got him was only $2.99.

I also go him a new baby book this weekend that will be kept very far away from the dogs while no one is home. I took a picture of the destroyed book to put inside the new book so that he will be able to see what the the dogs did the first time around......lol

We also were able to set up a US address so that we can order stuff for his room online that normally doesn't ship to Canada, because no one ships to Canada these days. It's a great set up we registered online and then all we do is use their address as the delivery address and then they call us when it gets delivered and all we have to pay is a one time fee of between 4-5$ depending on how much the package weighs. I'm excited to be able to get some stuff ordered for him now.

We will be cleaning out his room next weekend and then hopefully getting it painted in the next few weeks so that we can start setting it up.

My parents found a really cute Safari bedding set for baby boy, it is going to fit so good in his room. I saw the picture on the company's website and the brown trim on it is the same colour that I picked out for his room.

Friday at Last.

This week seems to have taken a long time to get over. At least it is finally here.

Lots of things on the agenda this weekend.

Go to US to open a Po Box so we can order cheap stuff and actually have it shipped.
Find a new baby book for Baby boy
Clean the disaster of a house so that it will be clean when people come to get their hedgehogs next Saturday
Get an oil change in my car
Grocery shopping
Take my car in to get looked at as the alarm stopped working

See lots of things to do, and to imagine that I would rather be doing all of this instead of going to work.

Bad Dogs, Very very Bad dogs!

So I spent all day Saturday two weeks ago hunting for a baby book for baby boy. I finally found one that I actually liked at Chapters in Coquitlam. It came in a nice case and had these little photo frames to put pictures in the book and had some great pages to fill out. Well it had been sitting in the living room on top of a box that our humidifier came in. Well yesterday I guess the boys were playing around in the living room while we were at work and decided that it would be fun to shred the box.

Well in the process of attacking the box the baby book fell off of the top and they shredded that too. The plastic carrier that it came in the growth chart, all the photo frames.....everything.

So needless to say they are spending the day locked in the laundry room to think about what they did...lol and now I have to spend another day hunting for a new baby book.

Bad Dogs, bad, bad Dogs!

My kid is Lazy already...

He isn't even born yet and already he is lazy. Seriously he is always laying at the very bottom of my uterus, that's where he kicks me, that's where he always is when they check his heartbeat, that was where he was hanging out for all of his ultrasounds. He like never comes off of the bottom..lol

I wonder why he moved all of my insides around to give himself a nice big place to grow and then never uses any of the room. Sometimes I wonder if he is stuck down there and can't move around, but you think they would see that on one of the ultrasounds, besides how would he get stuck there?

If this is any indication of what getting him out of bed when he's a teenager for school, then we are in for some rough years.

When I'm driving to work and a really fast song comes on he likes to kick me like crazy, I can see him in 15 years locked in his room with his music crancked up and never wanting to get out of bed. Ahhh I love him already

Monday already

Wow these weekends just seem to fly by these days. Had a good weekend, cleaned the house and organized the disaster of a pantry that we had going on. I think it's bad when you can no longer close the door.

Got a few things for baby boy this weekend. Babies'R'Us was having a huge sale so we got a pack and play, a bouncy seat and a bathtub all for less than the original cost of the Pack and Play. It's not much but it's a start.

Only two more weeks until all the hedgehogs are gone and I can start getting his room ready, I wonder if I am aloud to paint it or if S will have to do it all himself ? Or maybe I will just tell him that's I can't breath the fumes and he will do it all anyway..lol That would probably be mean though.

Well only 133 days left to wait for the little man to get here. So excited

Wow it's been a long time.

I guess I am better at reading other people's blogs than actually writing in my own.

Lots has changed over the last year or so since I wrote here last, the most note worthy being that I am pregnant. Yeah it kinda shocked me too. Baby boy is due on June 6th which is pretty cool with my birthday being on the 5th and my moms being on the 7th. So far things have been really good with the pregnancy, had some great months of morning sickness and all day crappiness but other than that has been good. We had a bit of a scare with some blood tests around 15 weeks but they turned out to be fine and we have seen baby boy moving on the ultrasound twice now.

Haven't really bought anything for him yet but there is still lots of time to get his room together. We are just waiting for the last litter of baby hedgehogs to go to their new homes, so that we can get that room cleaned out and painted for him. We are doing his room as a Safari theme and I think I'm going to paint it a Sandy brown colour and then get some of those stick on wall decals with safari animals. Then I just need to find some bedding for his crib that is going to be less than $300. I couldn't believe how expensive the sets were at Babys'R'us. We are planning on buying most of the stuff for his room in the states as the dollar is so good right now and stuff is so much cheaper there so I am hoping that I will be able to find something reasonable.

Well I should go and get some work done I will try to remember to keep this updated as he gets closer to making his appearance.
